The project consists of 22 two and three bedroom units on two nearby sites in Oakland, California. The project is designed to meet Habitat for Humanity's national design and construction standards, and the project will be built by volunteers and future homeowners. Kinsell Commons is part of a LEED for Neighborhood Design Gold plan that also includes Tassafaronga Housing. These units have also been designed with LEED for Homes in mind and will seek accreditation when construction is complete. The development features shared open space for residents and compact but well-designed living spaces ideal for families.
